Sorry, no pictures this time :( I failed miserably in that regard. And Will's been really into shooting his film camera these days, so you'll just have to wait till the film gets developed. A little good old fashion patience is good for you.

We had a wonderfully busy and incredibly fun weekend in Boise. One weekend every other summer, Will's family meets in Boise where his Grandma Ruth lives. 6 years ago I attended the Fisher reunion after dating Will for just TWO MONTHS! That was crazy...and overwhelming! But since then I've been pregnant during every reunion, EXCEPT THIS ONE (don't even think about it!). It was really nice to just thoroughly enjoy a few days together with Will and the girls. It was way too short and we really miss Will while he's been at work since. Tonight, the girls and I leave for NJ which we are SO excited for, but we'll be sad to leave daddy behind for 2 weeks:(

The girls did pretty well on the 8 hours drive to Boise. Oh wait, did I say 8 hours?? I meant 11 hours! I'll explain...we made it out around 10am and hit traffic an hour into it. After about an hour crawl we felt hopeful when the pace picked up. I don't know when, probably around the time we settled into things and in the middle of no where, our rear left tire decided it didn't want to come with us and blew up. Yes, it BLEW UP! Will skillfully brought the van to a stop on a gravel hillside, but because of the hill, and gravel, we couldn't get the van jacked up to change the tire. After a quick call to Les Schwab and a 5 MINUTE wait (yes, just 5 minutes!) we were on our way to buy 2 new tires and some dinner. 3 hours after the tire blew, we were on our way, again. I didn't realize how lucky we really were. Tire blow outs at 75 mph can lead to serious accidents, serious injuries, serious deaths. We lost our rear tire, which isn't as dangerous. We're so lucky to have a daddy that knows exactly what to do. And what a blessing it was that a Les Schwab guy was just minutes away.

(Side Note) We got a 'new' van and the gas gauge is a little silly. Last week I ran out of gas....in our driveway! In our driveway! When does that EVER happen??

So we made it to Boise and got a good night sleep. Tatum LOVES the idea of hotels and our hotel had a pool! We had so much fun swimming every chance we got. The reunion was a blast. Will's grandma has 4 boys, those boys have lots of kids, who have lots of kids. We spent our days at the rivers in Boise; swimming, boating, playing. The weather was hot, but beautiful. Marley learned that she LOVES the beach! Tatum learned that she LOVES her cousins and she and Great-Grandma Ruth are kindred spirits. Will learned that wakeboarding at almost 30 years old leads to very sore muscles. I learned lots about the Fisher family through chats with Grandma Ruth. And Saturday night we learned that we needed a new alternator in the van!! Oh man! Will and his dad woke up at 6am Sunday morning to install a new one before we left for home. We got home safe, sound, exhausted, and broke Sunday night. But we had such a fun weekend together. We love our family and we love eachother.

NOW, I need to put this down and start packing for NJ. Seriously, I gotta go!

The Weekend

Tatum has been showing me that she has the same intense creativity I did when I was her age. Lately, I've heard her say things like, "Im going to make something out of this!" or "This will make a good robot costume!". Here's a picture of her robot she whipped up in a matter of seconds. I seriously almost dropped dead in awe of her cutting skills. Where did this child come from?!

We attended the wedding of one of Will's friends on Saturday. It was Tatum & Marley's first wedding and you can tell that B. loves wedding cake just as much as her daddy! And of course, Tatum couldn't get enough of the dance floor. I'll work on getting some video of her latest moves.

Tatum and I planted some flower boxes this afternoon. I have dreams of planting a beautiful garden full of butterflies and enough vegetables to freeze, can, and eat all winter, but let's be serious here...these flowers are as close as I'm going to get for a while. Atleast they're pretty.

2 hours later this is what we get...

Okay so it's not snow, but it sure seems like it. The weather turned on us and we had a huge hale storm that turned our spring day into "Do you know what this means?! It's Christmas!", which was the first thing Tatum said when she saw it.

Oh well. Here's a pic of the girls. Tatum sat Marley next to her, covered her with a blanket, and preceded to read her a story. Pretty cute.

I've decided to work on my patience. So from now until I forget to do it, I will be doing things EXTRA slow. This way when Tatum takes a day and a half to get her jump swing into her car seat JUST RIGHT, I'll be okay with it. Conflict averted! So I predict it will take me twice as long to do anything and everything, but that's ok. I have nothing else to do!

Tatum has become such a beautiful big girl. I am so proud of her. She is getting smarter and smarter by the minute. She can even write her own name, to the astonishment of her primary teachers. She loves her swim classes and just began taking tap dance too. She's great at everything she does and can't help but be the teacher's pet...hmmm, who'd she get that from?

Marley and her friend Berkley (Dane & Ashleigh's) are 2 months apart. They will be best friends. They both enjoy doing core exercises as you can see. Pop-Pop Chris would be proud!

Marley B. will be 11 months on the 27th of this month. Oh my goodness! (As Tatum likes to say) She is very, very cute and always smiling.

We spent our time as a family together doing as much as we could cram into those few months. Trips to the Children's Museum, Chuckie Cheese's, Disneyland, Seaworld, Utah...We had a blast!

First and foremost, we graduated Law School!!! Will passed the bar and we moved up to Portland. We will always miss Eugene (sigh). We lived with Will's parents for a few months while we had a blast with Will not starting work until the end of September. About a week ago we closed on our first house!!!

We've had great weather lately. Yesterday we filled up the pool in the back yard. Tatum had a great time. As you can see, she got a new toy she uses to squirt water. She thought it was pretty funny that she could squirt me with it.

No, these aren't old pictures of Tatum's birth. This is Marley B. Fisher. Born on February 27, 2009 at 11:16 AM. Although Morgan was scheduled to be induced that day, she started having contractions the night before, and was at 4 cm when we arrived at the hospital that morning. After getting an epidural, they gave her some pitocin (sp?) to speed things along. Sure enough, when it came time to push, she only had to push for about 8 minutes, and voila! we had a baby girl. Marley is the most chill baby you'll ever meet. I still haven't heard her cry yet.
She grunts a lot and makes little growling noises (kind of like a little piggy), but if we let her she would just sleep all the time. Marley's middle name is B. - as in the letter "B" with a period after it. This is my grandpa's middle name (Willie B. Fisher - sweet name huh?). Tatum loves being a big sister. Although she was convinced that the baby's name would be "Cindy" (the name of her nursery teacher), she now enjoys referring to "baby Marley" when we talk about it. When asked what she is going to do to help mommy with the baby, she says that she will "go get powder and diapies." She's a cute big sister and is growing up fast. Morgan and Tatum spent the last week up in Portland before the delivery, just in case Morgan were to go into labor (her doctor and hospital are up there). So when I saw Tatum for the first time in a week, I couldn't believe how grown up she was. It seems that whenever Tatum is away from our home here in Eugene for any period of time, she goes through a growth/development spurt. I imagine it must have something to do with being out of her normal schedule (which is this: eat, play dollhouse, watch little einsteins, eat, nap, play blocks, watch little einsteins, eat, play dollhouse, and go to bed). Well, we hope to get some more pictures of Marley up soon. Maybe she'll wake up one of these days so I can take some good ones with her eyes actually open. Talk to you soon.

This Christmas our Church had a "Night in Bethlehem" Christmas party that I worked really hard on. It was really fun decorating the church like an old market place with animal sounds and everything. Everyone dressed up in "authentic" attire and Tatum jumped at the photo op...of course.

Tatum is 2 years old! We had some of her friends over to decorate halloween cookies and have cake and ice cream. She was so excited and loved the princess cake daddy picked out for her. Nay Nay sent a pretty party dress just for the occasion. She loved twirling and posing with her crown and wand. She was the perfect party host and loved every minute of it. Definitely a night to remember!

Hey all. So if you don't know, I ran the Portland Marathon about 2 weeks ago. It was awesome. I'm excited to run another one. Here are the pictures they took of me. It was very exhausting, but at the same time it gave me a great feeling to accomplish something I never thought I would ever even attempt. Last week I was pretty sore--I couldn't even walk down stairs. Now, most of the soreness is gone, but my foot is still hurting - I think I strained something in there that is taking a while to heal.

School is going pretty well right now. I'm taking a full load (16 semester credits) so that next semester, when the baby comes, I'll be able to take only 10 credits and that should feel like a pretty light load. If you don't know, I recently accepted a job with Miller Nash - a law firm in Portland. I'm really excited about that, especially with the awesome economy we have right now. I'm counting my blessings just to have received a job offer.

Oh, and if you haven't noticed by now - I'm clearly balding (arghhhh curse you genes).
